I've heard it work out great on snare and acoustic guitar too. It's sort of MD was THE hot mic for live sound for many years (before decent. The Sennheiser used to be my go-to mic for certain acoustic guitars and voices (most relevant to this post, my own), back when I worked in.
It worked great for snare, although it has many dents to show for it now. Just curious as to how many others either own and or utilize this microphone and would welcome comments regarding your opinions and experiences.
Is this to be expected? Although I've used it for a number of different things, oddly enough, never on singers. You can really hit that mic hard and it won't crap out. I can't remember from reading on condensor vs dynamic mics.
