I didn't get into EQ until after POP came out so I missed it, and when there were server merges around the time of DoN expansion, some tard on Maelin woke the sleeper solo and killed off any chance for us to kill him. Those few guilds who made it there sooner, rather than later, decided to deny everyone else on the server access to that content by waking the Sleeper and taking away everything that zone once offered. I miss having to worry about trying to get gear before it was nerfed or removed from tables and I think having to worry about getting content done before it becomes unavailable is also a good thing. The sheer willpower some of the old school raids took was mindblowing. It's difficult to keep secrets in videogames nowadays, but this is definitely a spot where they can do some cool stuff.
